Sony has released the latest system software update for PlayStation 5. The update will offer players shareable links to quickly join online multiplayer sessions and much more.
Many new conveniences come with the PlayStation 5 update
The latest update for PlayStation 5, version 24.05-09.60.00, finally introduces the shareable multiplayer links feature that Sony announced in May. Players will now be able to invite other players to their games by opening the game session action card and selecting the “Share Link” option. To share this invitation, simply scan the QR code with your mobile device. This feature is only available for open sessions that anyone can attend.
The update also brings the ability to unlock “Game Assist” action cards with voice commands. Users will be able to activate this feature by simply saying “Show Game Help”. This voice command feature is currently only available for PlayStation Network accounts in the UK and America.
Sony’s latest PlayStation 5 update not only adds new features but also improves system performance and stability. Stability improvements have been made by updating the software of some DualSense wireless controllers. Additionally, improvements have been made in terms of messages and usability on some screens.
Sony stated that it will gradually roll out the shareable links feature to all users until July 24. This feature will make it even easier for players to invite their friends to games and play together. Additionally, providing access to game assistance via voice commands will make the user experience smoother.
